JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran is looking for skilled crafted individuals to perform vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a safe, efficient and timely manner. The incumbent in this position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on transit buses, mechanical equipment and support vehicles (both gasoline and diesel powered), including but not limited to engine adjustment, braking systems, steering/suspension systems, electrical/hydraulic parts and associated components; examines maintenance repairs on related equipment to company and/or manufactures’ guidelines to preserve the safety and reliability of set equipment. This is accomplished by working alongside of Maintenance Technicians and/or Supervisors as they complete inspections for vehicle deficiencies through the work order or preventative maintenance process.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent recognized certification (GED) and two (2) years related mechanical experience. Valid CDL Class B driver’s license (must include copy of current driver’s license with application). Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must possess a valid Florida CDL Class B w/passenger endorsement and Air Conditioning Certification (608/609) at the time of appointment

PREFERENCES:
Heavy-duty vehicle mechanic experience including electrical systems, air conditioning experience, public transportation experience is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran is looking for an Operations Supervisor to support and monitor Bus Operators operating a fixed route service to ensure a safe and efficient environment for our passengers. The incumbent in this position will administer operators’ manpower needs for the current and next day; organize, prepare, and assign work to extra-board bus; determine and authorize the manpower requirements to maintain published schedules and services; manage control of radio communications utilized to maintain published services by directing bus operators and support staff; authorize and direct information to personnel to reroute passenger services and vehicles when detour and schedule interruption situations occur; conduct accident investigations in accordance with guidelines; respond to, evaluate, determine, and coordinate emergency services; determine whether accident meets the definition of the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) definition in determine whether a drug and alcohol test shall be administered to the operator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent certification (GED). Valid Florida CDL Class B license with passenger endorsement (driving record subject to approval). Five (5) years experience as a Bus Operator and three (3) years supervisory experience (eighteen (18) additional months of bus driving experience may be substituted for each year of supervisory experience). Microsoft Word & Excel experience.

PREFERENCES:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; public transit supervisor experience; transit software knowledge; Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Financial Analyst I; the incumbent in the this position will work closely with the Administrative Services Supervisor commissioned to review, analyze and interpret data concerning a variety of financial activities and projects within the Payroll/Finance section. The position will perform a variety of complex accounting functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation of employee leave information, retirement, payroll/benefit records and payment of funds for county office personnel. Responsibilities include creating detailed financial and/or management analyses; administration, supervising and coordination of payroll; reviewing or preparing Department budget as well as developing, evaluating and presenting financial reports to management. Work requires expertise in complex accounting and payroll/benefit functions, general principles of accounting, auditing, and payroll, as well as significant, directly related, and progressive experience. The position may have some supervisory responsibility for clerical or support staff within the payroll function.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; three (3) years of experience in governmental accounting or financial analysis. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment. Equivalency: Unrelated degree and 5 years of experience in governmental accounting or financial analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran is searching for a well-rounded and detail oriented procurement manager with outstanding organizational skills to plan, direct, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of all procurement and materials management for the department including contract administration, warehousing/stores, inventory control and purchasing. An employee allocated to this position in this class is responsible for the development and maintenance of Palm Tran standards, guidelines, and procedures for the procurement of supplies, equipment, construction, and services; and conducts the purchasing activities of the company and exercises contractual management of third party agreements and projects. The employee is also responsible for ensuring the achievement of contract administration and contract compliance in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and County guidelines. Work involves review of documents to ensure compliance with legal guidelines, contracting principles and cost effective constraints. Work also involves the coordination of activities with other departments and government agencies to ensure timely and accurate contract preparation and problem resolution. Work includes the establishment of comprehensive guidelines, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration or one of the Physical or Natural Sciences, or major course work in Law and six (6) years of experience in contract management and procurement; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience sufficient to carry out the duties of the position. PREFERENCES:
Certification from an accredited procurement program such as NCMA, CPCM, certification from a program sponsored NIGP, FAI, DAU or DAWTA. Five (5) years transit procurement experience of which two (2) years should be in a management capacity.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, Inc. is a Palm Beach County’s public transportation system that has an immediate need for a Senior Server Administrator to join its Information Technology section. The Senior Server Administrator will report directly to the IT Manager and will have full access to the server’s operating system, programs and recovery system utilities. The employee will be responsible for maintaining existing PHP scripted web applications, analyzing and recommending server system software configurations for any/all existing server platforms, planning, implementing, managing and operating support for all servers. Independent judgment is necessary to accomplish tasks and high degree of coordination is maintained with analysts, operations personnel, vendors and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics or closely related field; one (1) year of experience with PHP scripted web applications; four (4) years of experience in server administration; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.

PREFERENCES:
Two (2) years of experience with PHP scripting, MySQL, PHP Admin, VMware, HP 3 PAR Storage Systems and Windows Server 2012, 2016.
