JOB DESCRIPTION:
This professional management position will work under the direction of the Director of Operations; the Senior Manager of Safety/Training & Compliance is responsible for developing a strategic method of workforce planning and management, as well as manage all aspects of safety programs for the entire organization with emphasis the operations and the maintenance section, compliance and employee training for various sections. Work involves directing the investigation and analysis of all Palm Tran accidents, interacting with all levels of employees and outside attorney’s. This position also performs a variety of complex safety program development, implementation, inspection, coordination, investigation, and evaluation of tasks in the areas of bus and industrial and construction safety

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Transportation, or related field; and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transit safety or transportation operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to carry out the duties of the position. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment.

PREFERENCES:
Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or similar field; experience in vehicle accident investigation and analysis, working experience of GPS tracking system and trapeze software, Certified Safety Professional (CPS), supervisory/management experience is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, the mass transit provider for Palm Beach County, has an immediate opening for a Transit Planner II; this is a mid-level planning work in a public transportation system. An employee in this position will provide planning and project support to Palm Tran’s short and long-range planning programs. Responsibilities include the development, planning, and analysis of planning studies, infrastructure planning, marketing research, federal/state/local government transit programs, as well as serving as a liaison to the business community, citizen groups, FDOT, Palm Beach County, MPO and other governmental agencies. This position will work with relative independence on routine technical matters and may function in the capacity of a project leader on assigned planning projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, Logistics or related field; minimum of two (2) years of experience in transit planning. Must possess a valid Driver’s License, or be able to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment.

PREFERENCES:
Master’s degree in a related field, three (3) or more years’ experience in transit planning, experience with infrastructure planning/site plan review, moderate to advanced skills with ArcGIS and MS Office Suite.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, the mass transit provider for Palm Beach County, is seeking a highly skilled Scheduler Coordinator to conduct a variety of complex duties in the scheduling and planning of bus service changes. This incumbent will analyze the bus scheduling problems for potential changes, evaluate circumstances and provide suggestions for feasibility, cost and impact. In addition, the Scheduler Coordinator will prepare technical recommendations for the fixed route quarterly bids. The position relies on experiences and exercises independent judgment on technical matters and in the application of professional scheduling methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, Logistics or related field. A minimum of Five (5) years’ full-time professional experience in transit, of which four (4) years involve transit scheduling; experience with Trapeze, FX (or equivalent fixed-route scheduling software) and excel. Valid driver’s license.

PREFERENCES:
Master’s degree in a related field, additional years’ experience in transit planning or transit scheduling, experience using AVAIL software system, ARC GIS. Mid-Large Transit Company experience.
