JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, Inc. is seeking a qualified, detail oriented individual with outstanding communication skills to provide clerical support within the paratransit dispatching area. Individual will support the paratransit dispatching center with complaints, questions, schedules while serving as a liaison between customers and dispatch.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent recognized certification (GED). One (1) year of customer service experience involving public contact and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

PREFERENCES:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field, experience with ADA or TD program, or previous transit dispatching experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, Inc. is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to carry out administrative and supervisory functions; work involves planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing the procedures, policies and programs of Palm Tran’s Human Resources. An employee allocated to this class is responsible for planning and directing programs to enhance relationships between management and employees; to promote employee satisfaction, well-being, and quality of work life; to develop greater productivity in the work force; and to achieve sound labor/management working relationships. The Human Resources Manager is also responsible for higher level projects that integrate business strategy and Labor Agreement provisions as they relate to Human Resource services as well as supervising, developing and evaluating staff assigned to the various Human Resources programs. The incumbent in this position works closely with Division Directors and senior staff to ensure that proper employment compliance actions are followed such as, non-discriminatory equal opportunity employment practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Personnel Management or related field; five (5) years of progressively responsible personnel experience, including supervisory experience in several personnel functions; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License at the time of appointment.

PREFERENCES:
Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; SHRM Certified Professional, experience in public sector or large organization is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran is looking for an Operations Supervisor to support and monitor Bus Operators operating a fixed route service to ensure a safe and efficient environment for our passengers. The incumbent in this position will administer operators’ manpower needs for the current and next day; organize, prepare, and assign work to extra-board bus; determine and authorize the manpower requirements to maintain published schedules and services; manage control of radio communications utilized to maintain published services by directing bus operators and support staff; authorize and direct information to personnel to reroute passenger services and vehicles when detour and schedule interruption situations occur; conduct accident investigations in accordance with guidelines; respond to, evaluate, determine, and coordinate emergency services; determine whether accident meets the definition of the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) definition in determine whether a drug and alcohol test shall be administered to the operator.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent certification (GED). Valid Florida CDL Class B license with passenger endorsement (driving record subject to approval). Five (5) years experience as a Bus Operator and three (3) years supervisory experience (eighteen (18) additional months of bus driving experience may be substituted for each year of supervisory experience). Microsoft Word & Excel experience.

PREFERENCES:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; public transit supervisor experience; transit software knowledge; Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Palm Tran, is seeking Professional Bus Operators, with excellent customer service and communication skills. This position is responsible for performing skilled work operating all public transit vehicles on all scheduled routes and special service throughout Palm Beach County. Work involves operating diesel powered passenger buses over prescribed routes within set areas and maintaining records and logs as may be required along with accurate passenger counts. Position incumbents have the responsibility for the safety of their passengers and the vehicle operated as well as for completing the assigned route with the set time schedule. Employees in this position provide general information as requested. Schedules and days off are bid in seniority.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent certification/GED. Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement “P” endorsement (must include a copy of your current driver’s license with application).

PREFERENCES:
Transit bus, twenty-two (22) + passenger bus, or heavy equipment driving experience is preferred.
